Emma Robertson at Leslie Sneddon – Student Success
GlamCandy graduate, Emma Robertson, bagged an outstanding assistant makeup artistry position with the renowned Leslie Sneddon.
Originally a childcare practitioner with Fife council, Emma decided on a career change into the beauty industry and subsquently enrolled in the HNC in Fashion Makeup course with us at GlamCandy.
STUDIES
Emma was especially passionate about the bridal and intense glam units of the course. Her passion is reflected in her work with Leslie Sneddon, where she has the opportunity to utilise the skills she gained in these units.
Emma said, “I have learned that the makeup industry is full of opportunities!
“I would say to someone considering applying to this course to go for it.”
Before applying for her HNC, Emma was apprehensive about the course as she was unsure of her career options. However, it has proven as highly educational with endless opportunities within the industry.

The wide variety of products from premium brands such as Illamasqua, Kryolan and Caudalie that were available for use throughout her studies was a highlight of Emma’s course. Her favourite, and most recommended product is Illamasqua’s Pure Pigment.
Emma said, “This is my favourite pigment as the colour pay off is so vibrant and really makes the eyes stand out.
“Just start off with a little and build up the product as you go.”
