Edinburgh HNC Fashion Makeup graduate, Sarah Kate was selected as the lead makeup artist in a London photoshoot for handmade clothing company, Ayino.
She said, “It was an extremely fun and eye-opening experience into fashion and editorial makeup.”
Sarah was given creative freedom to design looks she found complimentary to the clothing range. Planning her looks for the shoot gave Sarah true confidence in her ability on her first brand photoshoot.
Whilst studying her HNC, she had assistance from tutors in preparing for assessed photoshoots and was offered vital knowledge from professional perspectives.
She said, “Before joining GlamCandy, I felt I could go into photoshoots and think I knew what I was doing but not always be as confident. Now after studying my HNC, I’ve had more experience and can go into shoots confidently.
“The main thing is that I am confident in my skills and my knowledge of what products are essential to bring in my kit.”
Not only did she gain experience on a professional photoshoot, but she gained vital life skills with GlamCandy, preparing her for the beauty and editorial industry.
At GlamCandy, we prepare our students, not just with thorough knowledge of makeup but about the industry itself and how to prepare yourself for it.
