Our tutor, Vicky (@vickycameronmua), had the amazing opportunity to do the makeup for the U.K wide advertisement campaign for the BAFTA’s. She worked on models and actors and gave them a red carpet look that would stun the nation. The advertisement theme was based around real people watching the BAFTAs at home. The models were dressed in ball gowns and dinner suits with diamonds and red-carpet makeup but wore either slippers or had bare feet while munching on popcorn and cupcakes. One poster showed a family set up and the other a friendship group, reaching out to attract two different demographics.
The posters were shown all around the U.K – on the underground, bus shelters, the sides of buses, and billboards in the most major cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Glasgow.
“I really enjoyed the experience. We had a full set designer from London who transformed a residential flat in Glasgow’s west end. All the decor had been brought in a van from Manchester. The clothes, and jewellery were stunning and in abundance! It was really unusual for the team to travel from south to north to work, its usually the other way around so this made a refreshing change. Everyone on the team worked extremely hard to produce some stunning images. I only had to do makeup as there was a hairdresser involved, I’m always pleased about that!”

The looks Vicky created on the female models were glowing skin, red lips, smokey eyes, and flicked liner while the male models received a light coverage concealer, powder, and some bronzer.
