Want our top tip for getting into this industry? Shadow an artist that already works with celebrities and influencers. Find out what makeup artist has an A-list clientele and ask to shadow them, help out and clean their brushes and assist around the salon if that’s all they need. Start small, it’s a journey and you will make connections and grow.
Beauty PR Specialist
Again, another sector with a lot of routes you can go down. So you’ve got your qualification, and you’ve realised you don’t want to be a makeup artist. But you have all this knowledge! Did you know that makeup brands have a team specialised for seeking out influencers that fit the brand the best to send products to? Your knowledge and their brand, come together and you make the perfect team. You could also do this on the side as well as being a makeup artist, doesn’t have to be your main career, it’s a good side hustle as well as full time career.
