Our SQA Accredited HND course covers a range of aspects of make-up artistry, with focus on techniques used in TV, Film and Theatre. Throughout the duration of the course, students gain in-depth knowledge and skill in the make-up industry, application, customer service and business to begin successful careers.

Course Overview

Our course is designed to educate you on all aspects of make-up artistry for TV, film and theatre. On this course, units will include learning about SFX and prosthetics,  production studies and hairstyle maintenance. You will also have the opportunity to gain work experience in a professional TV, film or theatre environment.

Employment

What are my career prospects following my studies?

Our students are placed on work placements during their studies which give them essential experience as professional make-up artists. Students may also be invited to shadow GlamCandy make-up artists in our shops or assist at weddings, fashion shows, music videos and photoshoots.

Following their studies, many of our previous students have gone on to work in make-up studios, counters or work as self-employed and freelance artists for the TV and film sector.

Payment Options

Flexible payment plans are available for 12 months, or students can spread the cost further with one of our finance agreements up to 5 years.

Upon payment of the deposit, we will be in touch to discuss which payment options are most suitable. Students may also be eligible for funding through SAAS (Student Awards Association Scotland) for funding.
