Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show 2023
Our team of students and tutors took part in the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show on the 24th March 2023. It’s such an honour for us to be a part of such an amazing show and the looks that were created were truly outstanding!
The styles we were creating was based on the inspiration from Cyber Utopia, Posthumanism and Destruction. The mood boards are below so you can see what the total vibe was for the full show!
Harriet Sloss (@glow_by_harriet_) is one of our students here at GlamCandy that went along with our team and was part of the Makeup Team for ECFS.
“The day was amazing! From start to finish I loved every second of it. Even though it was chaos and loud, the atmosphere was electric because everybody was so excited about their looks. This was my first ever Fashion Show, so I was a bit anxious in case I couldn’t keep up, but I felt like I was made for that kind of environment and I was really sad when it came to an end!”
Harriet studied HNC in Fashion Makeup here at GlamCandy in Glasgow. Our HNC course develops knowledge, skills and practical expertise in all aspects of Fashion Makeup such as Beauty, Glamorous, Fashion Makeup and Hairstyling for a Photoshoot.
“The highlight of the day was definitely seeing everyones face light up with surprise and excitement when they were shown the finished look. Those moments were absolutely priceless! If I was lucky enough to be able to do ECFS again, or any Fashion Show, I’d certainly not be as nervous as I was the first time. I would feel more reassured that everyone was in the same boat with n to knowing what was ahead but that everything would come together by working as a team.”
