Are there finance options available?

Yes, we offer finance options on both our courses and make-up kits

What finance options are available?

You can either choose to pay your course in full or choose one of our flexible payment plans.

Cash price – £1,200
Deposit – £100
Repayment length – 12 months
Monthly cost – £91.66 per month
Rate of interest – 0% APR
Total Amount Repayable – £1,200 (includes deposit)

If you wish to purchase an Illamasqua Cosmetics kit along with your course this can be added into your payment plan.

What is the cost of each course?

The cost for each course varies; please see the dedicated page for the course you are interested in. The cost can be found in the top-left corner of the page.

The cost for all courses includes all training, booklets and access to the school make-up kit. For a select number of courses basic artistry tools are also included.

Do I need to buy a makeup kit for my course?

If you are looking to start a career in Makeup Artistry we recommend you purchase a kit prior to studying with us, however this is dependent on the course you wish to take, for some courses you may get access to our school kit but this is not always guaranteed. If you are unsure if you have the necessary kit please contact our bookings team who can help you. If you need to you can buy an Illamasqua cosmetic kit from GlamCandy before, during or after your course.

For some courses you may receive essential tools for booking the course, including a professional brush set, GlamCandy brush cleaner, BeautyBlender, stippling brush and lashes.

HNC and HND courses include an illamasqua make-up kit as part of the course cost.

Can I purchase a kit from GlamCandy?

Yes, we have a variety of different kit options available to purchase before or during your course. We only sell premium products in our kits such as Illamasqua, GlamCandy, Karla Powell & Caudalie. Click here to view our popular kit options.

What additional school products are available for me to use?

All students will have use of and share our school products throughout the duration of the course.

Will I receive a certificate on completion of my course?

The certification for each course is dependent on its length and governing body. The type of certificate for your chosen course can be found in course overview.

Do I need previous experience?

For most courses no experience is required, however we do ask that you have a keen interest in make-up. More technical courses such as SFX require previous experience.

Do I need to bring in a model to class?

No, you will work on your fellow students in pairs, please come to class prepared to have your makeup removed and redone.

What is the dress code?

All black with comfortable footwear.

Where is my nearest School?

We have a number of schools in Scotland, and remote locations in the UK. Please see our locations page for more details.

Will I get employment after the course?

Many of our students are placed on work placement on completion of their course. Students may also be invited to work shadow our artists in our shops or assist on weddings, fashion shows and photoshoots.

What type of jobs can I get on completion?

Our courses roster offers training for a number of careers in make-up artistry. If you have a particular career in mind feel free to contact our team for advice on recommended courses.

What is a pro-card and do you accept it?

Pro Card’s are exclusively for make-up artists who have attended beauty / makeup school and meet a required criteria. When a valid membership is presented in store or online students can obtain a product discount up to 20% off products. Each cosmetics house has different application criteria and you must apply to each individually.

Professional makeup artists can receive up to 40% off cosmetics on some brands. Generally they must prove they are professional by submitting evidence in the form of a tear sheet from a magazine which includes their personal credits.
