GLAMCANDY ABERDEEN OPENING

We’re overjoyed to announce that we will be opening the doors of our studio to yet another location.

GlamCandy will soon be opening in Aberdeen and welcoming a whole new selection of students for the February semester.

After the astronomical success that the Dunfermline opening had, we are eager to see the same result in Aberdeen.

Our new studio will open February 2019 on 99-105 Holburn Street premises in Aberdeen. We will host and expect to train up to 200 students in our first opening year.

Managing Director, Hayley Harvey-Smith said:

“Our new college will allow us to offer a wide range of courses to our students, as well as state-of-the-art facilities. Everyone who completes our professional level courses receives superb tuition from our extremely talented tutors and a portfolio of work that makes them immediately employable.

We are building our own photography studio within the Aberdeen college and all our students will have the chance to have their work featured in our nationally available magazine which launches next year.

Giving them the chance to build that portfolio is massive in terms of employability and that is always our focus.”

Following the opening of our Aberdeen studio, we set to recruit 12 new tutors and make-up artists to the team by opening the new college which provides SQA and City and Guilds-accredited qualifications.

Julian Kynaston, co-owner of GlamCandy, states:

“There's a misperception that makeup is easy and that everyone can do it.

The internet - online tutorials and the like - is possibly responsible for that.

The truth is it is an incredible skill and once practiced professionally and correctly it is a very, very powerful tool and can be an amazing career that can take you as far as you want to go."

Kynaston knows the expansion of GlamCandy to Aberdeen will help the students of Scotland immensely to kick-start their careers in the beauty industry.

The HNC course taught will not only make the students accredited with their SQA qualification but also set them at the top of the industry with their professional portfolio and networking opportunities.

As well as the college we will be opening a cosmetics shop at the premises offering brands including Illamasqua, Kryolan, and Karla Powell.

If you are as excited as we are and would like to apply for one of our courses on offer, please click the link to apply now.

We cannot wait to see what the future hold for GlamCandy’s expansion to Aberdeen.
