The GlamCandy Pro Artistry team worked alongside the amazing Pablo Rodriguez who was the lead artist for the Mark Fast show, who demonstrated the brief before the makeup artists got started. Each makeup artist had to create a full intense editorial look on the female models that consisted of using a white pencil as a base for bright green eyeshadow which was then smoked out using black gel liner, pencil, and black and brown eyeshadow with a natural matte base, natural matte highlight, and a purple lip with a darker concentration of pigment in the centre of the lips. Simple male corrections were applied on the male models. After the show, our artists then applied touch-ups and corrections as the models lined up for their press pictures. After speaking to our creative director, Paulina, about her experience down there, she only had good things to say about it.
“It was amazing, Pablo is such a lovely and friendly person, the atmosphere was full of creativity and high energy.” Paulina Siembor, Creative Director
For our tutors, Lois, it was her first time being at London Fashion Week. Lois did an amazing job and created beautiful makeup looks at the shows. Attending London Fashion Week had always been one of her ultimate goals as a makeup artist, but we were all immensely proud of her when her work was featured in Elle Magazine!
“London Fashion Week was one of my ultimate goals as a makeup artist and being able to go along with not only my work colleagues, but my friends was amazing. I really enjoyed working alongside Pablo as he is a huge inspiration in the fashion makeup world. Working with runway models was nerve-wracking but so exciting. And to top everything off two of my makeup looks were used in Elle Magazine as examples of makeup from Fashion Week!” Lois Barclay, Lead Tutor
