Luis’s Journey – From student to Pro Team at LFW
Meet Luis, the talented makeup artistry graduate turned pro team artist, who has taken the beauty world by storm.
During Covid, Luis fearlessly pursued his passion for makeup artistry amidst the pandemic. Studying HNC in Fashion Makeup at GlamCandy College in Edinburgh, he showed us his unwavering dedication and determination.
Luis’s journey wasn’t easy, but his hard work and perseverance has paid off! Volunteering on multiple fashion shows and events, taking every space or cancellation available at photoshoots to continuously build his skills, experience and portfolio. He’s travelled to every one of our Scottish college locations to assist in classes and cover holidays. He worked late in our colleges practicing his skills after working a full day at his full time job in hospitality. He’s gone above and beyond to immerse himself in the industry and gain invaluable experience.
As a freelancer, Luis continuously impressed us with his incredible skills and commitment to our team. He worked tirelessly, going that extra mile to ensure every client, model or student left feeling like a superstar and every student left the skills they needed to pursue their passion for makeup.
During his time at GlamCandy, Luis has featured in a bridal shoot for La Novia, skincare shoot for Amaranthine Skincare and took part in shoots in all GlamCandy locations. He extended his talents and expertise by completing the SFX Pro Course that was available here at GlamCandy, and has got to work on halloween promotions for places such as Tatu and Murrayfield Halloween Production. He has since travelled to London for London Fashion Week to assist with makeup on two shows, one being with the legendary Pablo Rodriguez.
