George Heriot’s School Charity Fashion Show

The biannual George Heriot’s School fashion show raised money for Cancer Research UK at an evening of elegance and glamour. The crowd were dazzled by the range of designer outfits and talented models, and the event raised an incredible £6,300 for the charity.

George Heriot’s School senior pupils were ecstatic to showcase some of the best independent designers that Edinburgh has to offer. From retailers such as Just G Boutique, Bill Baber, SXP Designs and Davison Menswear, the show was packed with Edinburgh’s most prestigious fashion.

The school, founded in 1628, is one committed to helping the community and fundraising through a range of events and activities. Built on the ethos of care, staff and pupils are consistently giving back to society, whether it’s making Christmas cards for a local charity, or taking part in charity sports days.

GlamCandy were invited to makeover the catwalk models, an experience that will be invaluable to some of our students. We offer these experiences to prepare them for future brand employment and self-employment, as many of our graduates have gone on to work at the likes of London Fashion Week and other popular fashion events across the UK.

Through our HNC Fashion Makeup course, students learn aspects of the industry such as professional artistry skills and runway and editorial makeup and hair. GlamCandy offer several professional photoshoots to students in order to expand their portfolios, as well as essential industry experience not available at state colleges.
