Edinburgh-born, Aberdeen-based make-up artist Tolase Ilesanmi, a specialist in bridal, beauty, fashion, editorial and author of “TGculture: The Makeup Manual”, joined GlamCandy and its students for an informative masterclass this month.
Over the years, Tolase has had hands-on experience in the industry and an interest in sharing her knowledge with others. Through both her written work and talk sessions in countries across the globe, she has educated others on improving their skill and talent as artists.
Tolase trained in make-up for film, tv and theatre at the prestigious Charles Fox Covent Garden and the Academy of Freelance Make-Up. As an expert in application on darker skin tones, she went on to write a book to document her knowledge of make-up artistry, colour theory and technique.
Tolase said, “It’s a privilege, and I am super excited to join the talented team of artists at GlamCandy in a masterclass. Sharing everything you need to know about applying make-up on deeper skin tones and building an inclusive make-up kit with respect to dark skin.
“This session is going to be unique to GlamCandy, packed with professional make-up tips and tricks that I have over a decade of practice with in the industry.
“It’s about time to level up your make-up skills and take your artistry to the next level!”
