GlamCandy students apply actors makeup for Netflix’s newest historical drama.
Netflix’s newest action drama Outlaw King is set in 14th Century Scotland, centred around Robert the Bruce’s claim to the crown and the uprising to win back their independence against the English.
Our students had the outstanding opportunity to apply makeup to the films extras.
Students Jodie Began, Robyn Strachan and Morgan Lennox were accompanied by tutors Rachael Melrose, Paulina Seimbor, Alice Dickson and Vicky Cameron on set for the brand new film.
Assisting on a large production, students were given a broader outlook on conducting themselves within a professional environment, including working with clients and actors. Students were able to get a feel of working on set as a professional MUA, utilising their skills gained whilst studying.
BATTLING MAKEUP DEADLINES
Gaining vital skills in time management, students worked to actors strict deadlines for being on set, ready to take test shots and head to Murrayfield Stadium for filming.
Students were over the moon to work alongside actors for the Netflix movie and are excited to add the experience to their portfolios for future employment.
