Alice has always had a passion for the creative arts, this began with art and online visuals in high school, she always found a way to be creative in whatever she did, Alice's love for makeup also began when she was younger whether it was making face charts from the age of 10 or using her friends as models for photoshoots where she could turn them into the models she saw in the magazines but Alice never thought she could turn this into an actual career therefore after school she went straight into studying for a media and communication qualification, after doing well in this she completely sidetracked her career after finding out about GlamCandy and hasn't looked back since, she loves what she does and there’s never a day that’s the same for her, working in makeup has also allowed Alice to grow her Instagram and work with some amazing brands while also being able to teach in a college and work with clients, Alice loves that she has found a job where she can be creative and work in an environment where everyone shares the same passion.
What motivated you to get into makeup?
My love for art. I had decided to go to university for Film and English but at the last minute I asked myself why I wanted to do this course. I kept picturing a life in film where I could get involved in the creative process including the makeup and this opened my eyes to the fact that I actually wanted to study makeup instead. GlamCandy was the first course I found which incorporated actual industry experience so it was a no brainier for me to apply and study the HNC at GlamCandy.
How long did it take you to build your Instagram?
I’ve been slowly building my Instagram for a few years but recently after posting my Halloween Looks last year (2020) I've seen alot of growth on my account. It took 2 years to build to just over 10k followers, which was when I actively started to push it. I have recently been signed with an influencer management agency.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
Any artists that push boundaries and have their own style like Alex Box and Pat McGrath but my biggest inspiration has to come from drag queens, I love Raven, Kim Chi, Violet Chachki and Juno Birch.
What has been the best moment in your career so far?
I loved working at MurrayField to promote the Netflix Original Outlaw King with GlamCandy, that was a really fun experience!
