Ever since Morgan can remember she has always loved makeup, she loved art and design in secondary school and they were always encouraged to be as creative as they liked with little to none limitations. Morgan thinks this is where her passion for makeup really came from. Applying makeup to herself gave her a great deal of confidence and she thought if this is how she feels when applying makeup to myself she would love to give the same experience to someone else.
When Morgan left school, she knew she wanted to be in a job which allowed her to be creative, at the time there wasn’t much options makeup wise that Aberdeen had to offer. she took a year out doing volunteer work in Costa Rica and once she came back, she looked at her options which was either college or uni. Uni was never on my agenda so I picked a college course and rolled with it which 6 months later she left because her family could see it was not the right fit for her and encouraged Morgan to apply to for GlamCandy when it opened.
Morgan was the first HNC class in Aberdeen and She loved her course, Morgan learnt so much about makeup and was given so many opportunities, one being the ‘lead assistant’ to Amanda McCarthy of SHREK the musical at His Majesty’s Theatre. Morgan had an incredible week and this for her was the turning point in her life where she knew she wanted to do this as a career.
Once Morgan had completed her HNC and was qualified she knew she wanted to work at GlamCandy, so she applied and got the job! Morgan absolutely loves the job she is in and it also helps working with such an amazing team on a daily basis who push and motivate you to the best of your potential.
