Rebecca, who is from Edinburgh, originally left school to study Events Management. However, she quickly realised that it wasn't for her and, having always loved make-up, enrolled in a couple of GlamCandy's Pro Courses.
Having enjoyed them so much, she continued her studies and undertook her HNC and HND in Make-Up Artistry. Her talent and passion gained her a retail artist job at GlamCandy Edinburgh, and a year later was promoted to Social Media Manager - something she had been aiming to gain experience in.
What does a typical week look like as a Social Media Manager?
Everyday is different! One day I could be on a photoshoot filming behind the scenes content, and I could be at one of our locations gathering content from the students the next.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing about my job is that I can be as creative as I like with no limits. I also love the fact that no day is ever the same, which means I get a lot of different, amazing opportunities to work on each week.
What is make-up to you?
Make-up to me is art, there is no right or wrong when it comes to make-up. You can be as crazy as you like with no limits - take your time and trust the process.
Who inspires you?
My biggest inspiration is Jamie Genevieve. She started from the bottom working on make-up counters, and has now grown her own business Vieve, influenced millions all around the world and works with huge brands.
What is your must-have product?
My must-have product definitely has to be the Illamasqua Powder Foundation - I actually use it as a bronzer, and I couldn’t live without it!
