The Creative Rooms Advertising Photoshoot – Student Success
We challenged our Edinburgh HNC Fashion Makeup students to create inspiring mood boards for the chance to lead their own photoshoot with GlamCandy photographers.
GlamCandy HNC students Alice Dickson and Elle Bruce, won the competition to work alongside Gillian Beyer, a local nail technician and co-owner of The Creative Rooms, to produce her in-store advertising.
Working as lead makeup artists, Elle and Alice perfected the last touches for the shoot with their festive sparkles and pops of fuchsia seen on their mood boards.
The Creative Rooms nail technician, Gillian, was extremely impressed by the styles the artists had chosen, as they aligned perfectly with her vision for the photoshoot.
Our HNC students are able to work as lead makeup artists on photoshoots like these through continuously showcasing their dedication and passion for makeup artistry.
Adding professional experiences such as this to their portfolios and CV’s is impressive to industry employers, and beneficial to their futures.
We are immensely proud to have the industry connections, such as The Creative Rooms, to be able to give our students such valuable work experience opportunities.
Educating our students on the critical, in-depth industry knowledge needed to successfully run their own businesses and flourish in professional environments, is essential to their development as makeup artists.
