Brannagh McLoughlin – TONI&GUY Presentation
GlamCandy HNC student, Brannagh McLoughlin, works alongside TONI&GUY style directors for a promotional presentation.
At the TONI&GUY salon on Fredrick Street in Edinburgh, Brannagh worked on her third TONI&GUY promotion presentation.
PRESENTATION
Brannagh created showstopping editorial and glamorous looks that fitted the brief for the presentation. For the editorial look, Brannagh created a purple smokey, glossy eye and for the glam look, a glitzy cut crease.
The whole experience was an outstanding step into professional makeup artistry for Brannagh. Whilst also studying for her HNC, she utilised the skills she had learned in class and adapted them to complete the presentation.
Brannah said the environment was very fast-paced due to both the deadline to apply the looks, and working whilst hairstyling being completed simultaneously.
The ability to work on a model whilst other industry professionals work on them, is a skill that is vital to work in the makeup industry.
The presentation overall gave Brannagh key experience of working in a professional manner, communication with clients and the confidence to demonstrate in front of moderators at the presentation.
FAVOURITE PRODUCT
Brannagh’s favourite product is the Illamasqua Precision Gel Liner, a highly pigmented and durable formulation compared to other eyeliners on the market.
HNC FASHION MAKEUP
In regards to the HNC Fashion Makeup course Brannagh is studying with GlamCandy, she said, “The HNC course is amazing for building up communication and make-up skills. I love working with so many different people, tutors and models on the course and it has really brought me out of my shell.
“I am really proud of my journey so far with GlamCandy. I didn’t even have a makeup page or much confidence when I started and now I’m so confident! My skills have developed and I am ready to face the industry and be successful.”
For anyone who is hesitant in applying for their HNC, Brannagh says, “It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’ve learned so much, from how important hygiene is to how to handle bookings.
