The GlamCandy team got the chance to go and be guests at Yong-Chin’s masterclass in Buchanan Galleries, Glasgow. During the masterclass, she demonstrated her talents by taking inspiration from Club Kid and creating this truly inspiring masterpiece. This time last year, Yong-Chin was on BBC’s Glow Up, where she was the season 4 winner. We are forever grateful for being able to attend and watch another amazing artist doing what they do best, picking up some tips and tricks along the way that she has mastered. 

Yong-Chin is originally from Glasgow, being interested in makeup since a young age she would practice on her sisters and herself learning new and different techniques. Later on she would pick up jobs on the side as a face painter for parties, where she was able to get comfortable with different materials to incorporate into makeup looks. Now, with her background and degree in Fashion design, this has allowed her to have a natural progression into Editorial and Creative makeup. 

Yong-Chin’s goal is to push the restraints of commercial beauty and originate an ethical direction for cross-disciplinary brands.
