As a teenager, when Charlie expressed her interest in makeup artistry, she was told it wasn’t a ‘real’ career and that she would never excel academically due to her learning disabilities. However, through her stubborn nature and support from family, she was determined to prove them wrong. Through a lot of hard work, Charlie enrolled in college and received her HND in MakeUp Artistry. Now she is living her dream as a professional makeup artist and passing on her knowledge to the makeup artists of the future.
Charlie has worked with us here at GlamCandy for 3 and a half years now, starting as one of our Tutors and now Tutoring as well as being our Head of Centre. No day is ever the same, one day she can be life casting with a class and the next she is doing Runway makeup trends. That’s the fun about the makeup industry, its so broad and forever changing.
Out with GlamCandy, Charlie does some freelance work when possible, however she is a total homebody and loves chilled family time. At the weekends, you will normally find her out on dog walks, going to the cinema or trying the latest restaurant or cafe that she has found on TikTok.
